OUR STORY
It started with frustration. Not a business plan. A problem we couldn't stop noticing. Everywhere we looked, pet products were the same: generic paw prints, faceless silhouettes, generic illustrations, photos slapped onto mugs with no thought about composition, color, or craft. Products that could be any pet. That looked like none of our pets. We kept waiting for someone to do better. Eventually, we stopped waiting.
That's why Sploots Illustrated LLC exists. Our custom designs are built around your pet specifically. Their unique markings. Their expressions. Their personality. We're a family business, built around a craft we love, serving people who feel the way we do about their animals. This is personal for us. We want it to feel personal for you too.

We get it. We know what it’s like to love your pet. To light up when they walk into a room. To go a little overboard buying them things because they deserve it. Their loyalty. Their excitement and joy every single time you walk through the door, like you've been gone for years even if it’s only been ten minutes. The quiet comfort of a pet nearby after a hard day’s work. That's not background noise. That's one of the best things in life.
We've welcomed 50 foster animals and counting into our home. Cats, dogs, shy ones and bold ones, ones who took weeks to trust us and ones who owned the place in twenty minutes. Every single one reminded us why we do this. Pets have a way of showing you what unconditional love actually looks like. It changes you. We built this business because of that and it shows up in everything we make.
OUR DESIGN STANDARD
You've seen the other stuff. The generic paw print. The silhouette that could be any dog. The photo slapped onto a product with zero thought about composition, color, or craft. It's everywhere. We think that's a problem worth solving, and that's exactly what we do. We design around what makes your pet distinct. Their markings. Their expressions. The way their ears sit or their eyes catch light. Their personality. We're a family of designers and animal lovers who take our craft seriously.
Our design inspiration comes from America’s national parks. We’ve stood on mountain peaks, hiked through old-growth forests, and watched sunsets from the edge of canyons that made us feel very small in the best way possible. We keep going back to the great outdoors. Not just because it's beautiful, but because the natural world is a masterclass in design. It shows us color combinations that work. Textures that feel alive. What it looks like when something is designed with function, beauty, and purpose. We bring all this back into the studio and use it in our work.
THE PROCESS
You send us a photo. We do the rest. It sounds simple, and honestly, for you, it is. Behind the scenes we're obsessing over every detail of your pet's design, making sure what we create actually looks like them and does them justice. Made by people who care about animals and are dedicated to their craft. If you have a question, you get a real answer, not a canned response. We care about every order, because every order represents an animal someone loves.
We're not cutting and pasting photos and using a filter. We’re not adding a pet’s name to a generic illustration and calling it custom. The details are where it lives. The way a dog's fur sits differently around the ears. The particular depth of color in a cat's eyes. The expression that makes your animal look like nobody else's. These are the things we obsess over, because these are the things that make the difference between a product you like and one you genuinely love. It takes longer. It takes more care. We think it’s worth it.
